The services that OpenSensors.io provide are evolving and may change over time and these terms maybe amended.

Data Licensing

Open Data

Please remember that public topics are viewable by anyone. Public topics are published with an Open Data Licence. Publishers of open data have a full public domain license over content they have published.

Subscribers of public topics are required to attribute the work to OpenSensors.io under the ODC Open Database Licence. In short, this licence puts the data in the public domain allows re-distribution and re-use of the data. OpenSensors.io and the publishers have to be appropriately credited. We encourage and permit broad re-use of Open Data.

Private Data

Publishers who paid for private channels have full rights to the content. OpenSensors.io do not resell or redistribute private data.


Customers are responsible for the use of the service and all content published. All users are expected to respect the privacy of others and to get the consent of data subjects prior to processing data.


We reserve the right at all times to remove or refuse to distribute any content on the Service, to suspend or terminate users, and to reclaim usernames without liability to you. We also reserve the right to access, read, preserve, and disclose any information as we reasonably believe is necessary to (i) satisfy any applicable law, regulation, legal process or governmental request, (ii) enforce the Terms, including investigation of potential violations hereof, (iii) detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security or technical issues, (iv) respond to user support requests, or (v) protect the rights, property or safety of users and the public.
